What is your role here at Beacon Sport & Fitness?

As well as being a Personal Trainer, I also instruct classes here. All my classes can be found on the timetable, my most popular classes are Group Cycle, Boxfit, Outdoor Bootcamp, LBT and Circuits. I offer 121 or small group training. All my services are listed on my website www.dfitness.co.uk. Every Saturday morning I offer an Outdoor Boxing Fitness Group session priced at £3 for gym members. In addition I am also a qualified Sports Massage Therapist. I have ran a Boxing based Weight Loss programme for 6 weeks called Hatton Academy Fight Camp and had some awesome results from it.

Who are you outside of Beacon Sport & Fitness?

As well as being a dad to two awesome kids, in my spare time I like to relax to music or attend festivals and concerts. I’m also into my movies and take time out to enjoy a good film. I enjoy the odd box set and Game Of Thrones is easily my favourite series. I have a big interest in Mindset and have read a number of books that explore and open mindset. The Rules of Life is a great read plus a couple of other books that have swear words in the title lol. I exercise for head space and love to lift weights and push myself, this has always been my philosophy. I do pass this on in my classes and with my clients, that you have to believe you can achieve anything in life.

Specialty

The clients I have more experience with are weight loss, strength and conditioning and gaining self confidence. My sessions are tailored for all levels of fitness and a variety ways of getting the best out of a session. The session could include using weights, TRX training, HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training), Functional Training (Kettlebells, Battle Ropes) and Boxing Fitness Sessions. My services for personal training include full support with nutrition advice (creating an calorie deficit/surplus) and consistent tracking.

What is your role here at Beacon Sport & Fitness?

I am a Personal Trainer. It’s my job and passion to help people change their lives and achieve their deepest personal goals. Whether it be to lose a few pounds to look great for a function, cycle across Europe, walk up the stairs without being out of puff or finding their motivation for fitness.

Who are you outside of Beacon Sport & Fitness?

A dad of 3! They range from teens to toddler. As you can imagine, there isn’t much time for anything else except to explore the country, walk the dog, swim and learn. I am an avid student of all things and currently I’m improving on my nutrition and coaching skills.

Specialty

Qualified in Level 3 Sports Nutrition, Personal Training, Group Cycle, Gymbased Boxing, and Circuits. Advanced Personal Nutrition. Certified through Virgin Active in kettle bells, functional equipment, Advanced TRX. Precision Nutrition Level 1 pending. My specialty is helping people find out that they have a severely limited view of their capabilities. Getting them to fulfil their potential is my other specialty.

Interesting fact?

Provided security for Jeremy Renner when he visited Afghanistan. I also let him blow some stuff up.

What is your role here at Beacon Sport & Fitness?

I am one of the resident Personal Trainers and Boot camp Instructor. As a PT I will give you the individual aspect you deserve, we are all different after all. I have worked towards many different goals with clients, ranging from endurance events, like an Ironman, to weight loss, be for that special event or just to become a more healthier version of yourself.

Who are you outside of Beacon Sport & Fitness?

In my spare time, I run Off Your Feet Conditioning and sponsor a triathlon team New2tri. I’m also part of Team Bootcamp who run positive retreats. I like to study and learn new things, currently I’m studying diabetes and obesity in children. I am a huge family man and love nothing more than spending time with my wife and son, walking in the Peak District, watching football and camping. I love running, cycling and going to the gym, when I have time.

Specialty

I believe in having the dedication to practice what I preach. I refuse to churn out generic workouts and eating plans which are expected to be followed blindly – the contract I provide will be entirely centred on you. Having been around the Industry for 25 years from gyms, classes, training, military fitness, triathlons, Ironmen, marathons, ultra marathons and having competed myself up to GB standard I have had the opportunity to pick up all aspects of Health and Fitness along the way.

Interesting fact?

I once had a rifle pointed at my face by a Russian Soldier whilst serving in Kosovo.
